THE PROJECT
For the final semester at Noroff Vocational School (Oslo Campus) we collaborated with Intiri a online interior design collaboration platform. As, Intiri is soon going to launch their MVP in the market, they approached us with the goal of getting creative solutions for their platform that would streamline the interior design process and make collaboration between designers, clients more efficient.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
As a user, one need a platform with a user-friendly and collaborative interface that allows to easily find suitable designs, collaborate with designers, and visualise final results.
This will empower user to effortlessly create personalised, stylish, and functional spaces without experiencing frustration, limited options, or suboptimal outcomes.

The task flow and user flow for each personas, referring to the steps a user takes to complete a specific task and the overall path a user takes through Intiri website.

USER INTERFACE
As we enter the Design Thinking process, we have chosen two techniques to ideate. This will push us to think outside the box, explore new areas and challenge some pre-conceived assumptions.
Use of visuals and labels to guide users and help them understand explore page content. Clear headings, images, and descriptions help users find relevant products.
We arrange essential product information on the detail page using a clear visual hierarchy to avoid overwhelming users with excessive content or distracting elements.
Simplified and visually organized plans or packages on a booking page to improve the user experience and help users make decisions easily.
USABILITY TESTING
Conducting a usability test was an important step in ensuring that the platform is user-friendly, intuitive, and meets the needs and expectations of its target audience. The three metrics we agreed upon for usability testing are satisfaction, efficiency, and effectiveness

CLICKABLE PROTOTYPE
After conducting a usability test on Intiri, we have created a final prototype that incorporates the feedback and suggestions provided by the test users.
TAKE AWAY
In this case study, we highlight the development and evolution of Intiri, our collaboration platform for interior designers and enthusiasts. We emphasize the importance of user research, testing, and accessibility considerations in the design process. We gained valuable insights during the five weeks of the project by improving the design and interface. However, the time constraint for another usability testing was a challenge. Thanks to my teammate Ye-Lim for her contribution to this project. Further refinement of the platform will require ongoing feedback.
